I'm hosting an early holiday dinner this Sunday for a few family members, and I wanted to add a few side dishes that we don't traditionally serve. Quick and easy sides that don't require a lot of prep work was the plan. Of course, I took to my favorite trusty Golden Blossom Honey recipe section to browse their veggie sides. Cauliflower has been sounding really good to me lately, and it's not something that we normally eat at Christmas dinner, so I decided I'd toss it into the mix with this Herb-Roasted Cauliflower recipe. I was a little worried as it called for rosemary, which Jason doesn't like, and thought about substituting it for thyme, but I left the recipe as is during my trial run and sat back to see how it would play out with the husband.
Jason dug right in without any complaints! It's more of a sweet side dish, flavored with a hint of herb, tender and delicious! I think all of my dinner guests will approve!
1 large head cauliflower, separated into 1-inch florets
4 Tablespoons olive oil
2 Tablespoons fresh rosemary or 1 teaspoon dried
salt and pepper to taste
2 Tablespoons GOLDEN BLOSSOM HONEY

What are some traditional and non-traditional sides you'll be serving this Christmas?
I think Jason would love cauliflower gratin in which you just mix boiled cauliflower pieces with a cup of sour cream and an egg and bake it.
ReplyDeleteI think he would too! Sounds yummy!
DeleteI make roasted cauliflower all the time, so I will definitely try out your recipe! It sounds ah-mazing.
ReplyDeleteI bet you would like it very much, Robin!
DeleteDon't think I've ever had cauliflower, shocker there I know lol, as I don't even eat side dishes.
ReplyDeletePoor Pat. You eat like a bird. Must be how you stay so thin!
DeleteThis sounds great! I love roasted cauliflower. I've never thought about putting honey in it.
ReplyDeleteI never did either, but it's really good! I hope you try it sometime!
DeleteYou do find the best things to make with honey. I'd try this one, definitely. I love cauliflower but I rarely eat it because I'm the only one in the house who likes it. Now if I go to my grandbaby's house that's a whole new ball game. She eats cauli. like it's candy. Maybe grandmama will make this when sweet baby girl comes to visit. :)
ReplyDeletegreat ideas..I eat a lot of cauliflowers and broccoli and never thought of adding honey on top of that..
