One of our favorite family traditions during the holiday season is to have movie marathons. There are so many good movies, old and new, this time of year, we try to squeeze in as many as we can before Christmas hits. When we have movie night at home, we always have snacks on hand, usually trying to coordinate the snack to the theme of the movie we are watching. If we are heading out to the theater, we'll make special treats to enjoy leading up to the day of the movie to get the girls extra excited about our family outing. With all of the hustle and bustle that the season brings, it's just a nice way for us to slow things down a bit and have fun together as as family.
We've
been anxiously awaiting the arrival of the new movie SING©, which will be released in theaters
on December 21, 2016. The movie will feature cute animals, fun songs sung by
mega-stars, and lots of humor. Just what we need to break from the chaos of the holiday. To get
the girls geared up for the movie, I decided to whip up some tasty breakfast
"donuts" inspired by the movie.
Right now, when you purchase Honey Bunches of Oats® and other Post cereal brands, you'll be able to enter the SING© Sweepstakes where you could win $100,000, movie tickets, speakers, or other fabulous prizes! These
donuts are made with Greek yogurt, Honey Bunches of Oats® cereal, and a few
sprinkles. Simply mix Greek Yogurt with Honey Bunches of Oats® and sprinkles, fill some donut molds, freeze, then eat!
Keeping with the animal theme from SING©, I top them off with iced
animal cookies and a touch of whipped cream and a few more sprinkles.

ReplyDeleteThis is a great snack. I've just put frozen yogurt in molds before, but it didn't have the cereal. The added cereal adds so much and makes it easier to eat I'm sure.

ReplyDeleteThis looks like something the kids will love. My favorite Holiday tradition is when we all get together to watch Christmas movies in Christmas Eve. Now that the kids are in College it is extra special.
ReplyDeleteI'm a sucker for sweets. These donuts sound so delightful and so much better than the other options out there.
ReplyDeleteThese are fun! My kids will surely wake up early if this is our breakfast! So cute!
ReplyDeleteHow creative! I never would have thought to try something like that. Super love!
ReplyDeleteHoliday traditions? We take a drive to see the lights, hit Celebration for the fake snow, and have an Indian feast plus a late night movie. Leading up to that, we try to watch one classic Christmas movie a week, go caroling, participate in a Christmas program, and attend at least 3 to 5 Christmas parties. If only I could cut out all the cleaning and cooking so we could just play for the month, eh?
Woah, you certainly have a lot on your plate this month! But, it all sounds so fun! I do think a maid and chef would definitely come in handy for you this time of year :)
DeleteYUM! This sounds so good! My girls would love these.
ReplyDeleteI got invited to see SING in the theater the other day, but I was too slow to respond, so I don't get to go now. But, that's okay. I will go see it on my own.
ReplyDeleteI want to see SING also! I love these little "donuts" and have to make them for my nieces.
ReplyDeleteMovie marathons and snacks go hand in hand!

ReplyDeleteBuy it at WinCo because if you do, you'll get a free movie ticket!!! Details here: http://postmoviepromotion.com/
ReplyDeleteI wish we had a WinCo here. Sadly, we only have a Target and they aren't doing any special movie ticket promotions right now :(
