I Mom Hard All Day, Every Day #wingmama
All moms know that motherhood can be a battle. Some days it feels like a never ending uphill battle to get everyone's needs met while still trying to hang on to my own sanity, and when I speak with my girlfriends, I relieved to know that I am not alone. We all have our own war story when it comes to parenting. Some of those war stories are funny, some not so much, but it's a comfort to know that whatever "war" is raging in my house on any given day, at the end of the day the Wing Mama has my back.
Have you met the Wing Mama yet? The Baroness of Red Baron Pizza is getting moms to share their parenting "war stories" to earn wing mama patches. Are you a "Human Napkin" for your kiddos? A "Screentime Regulator"? Maybe a "Toddler Translator"? These are some of the patches us moms proudly wear. As for me, my patch is the Mom Hard patch, because I Mom Hard All Day, Every Day!
I'm a mama to two teen daughters, and you would think that the older a child gets, the easier the mom job gets. Nope. I'm still scrambling to find shoes and backpacks, help with homework, make sure everyone is properly fed, showered and ready to start the day. And that's all before 7am. Then we have dental appointments, after school activities, award ceremonies, and when the bus is running late for the millionth time this year, I get to play chauffeur to all of the neighborhood kids. Mariah needs a ride to work, Allison needs new track shoes, and I just need a nap. But, since I Mom Hard, I do exactly what needs to be done every single day to make sure things run smoothly for the family. At the end of the day I am exhausted, but the kids still need to be fed, and here's where the Baroness has my back.
After a long day of running, the last thing I want to hear is "What's for dinner?" With my picky eaters, dinnertime can be a war in itself, but thankfully we can all agree that Red Baron pizza is a great idea.
Just heat and eat and my job is done for the day. We'll grab a few slices, head out to the deck, light a little fire, and relax in each other's company.
Cheers to Red Baron Pizza for quick dinner solutions so I can continue to Mom Hard every day.
Do you have a parenting "war story" to share? The Baroness wants to hear all about it! Head over to Facebook and Twitter and share all of your dirty little parenting war stories with her. Be sure to let her know which wing mama patch (check out her bomber jacket!) you most relate to by tagging @baroness and using the hashtag #wingmama.
WIN IT!
3 lucky readers are going to win (1) coupon for a FREE Red Baron Pizza! All you have to do is share a short parenting "war story" on Facebook or Twitter using the #wingmama hashtag. Been awhile since I've had Red Baron
ReplyDeleteLovely photo with you and the girls!
ReplyDeleteWhat a strange name for a pizza, though, wasn't Red Baron an ebil German pilot who spread death in WW1?
Thank you dahlink :) I am not exactly where the name comes from, but now I'll have to Google that. I always think of Snoopy when it comes to fighter pilots, but you dear are the history buff.
DeleteYou have such a pretty family. All of you!
ReplyDeleteI've been struggling with Mica. He's in that know it all stage. He's so book smart, but struggles with common sense. If it's not in a book - watch out.
I could totally use some back stock of pizzas for after my surgery. I actually made a chicken dish - similar to chicken nuggets, but healthier to put in the deep freezer yesterday. Anything will help!
Thank you Alissa :) Mariah is the same way. We never understood how she could be so darn book/school smart, but when it comes to common sense, sometimes I wonder if she has any.
DeleteI'm sure you'll get your meals together before surgery. If not, you have two adorable little chefs to help you out in the kitchen :)
Don't even think that is up here, but never ate it anyway so wouldn't a clue. The mom hard never ends, always something the kiddos need, no matter the age.
ReplyDeleteWe love Red Baron pizzas here. They are a quick, easy and delicious dinner option for those crazy nights when I don;t have time to cook.
