Today I am going to share with you a cute and easy Halloween craft. This is so easy the kids can help!
Pumpkin Spider!
What you need:
mini pumpkin
black paint (we used spray paint, but black craft paint works well too)
4 black pipe cleaners
2 google eyes
hot glue and hot glue gun
Remove stem from pumpkin and paint it black. Next, cut your pipe cleaners in half so you have 8 pieces total. Start gluing your pipe cleaners on for the legs until all 8 are attached. Bend them to look like spiders legs.
Hot glue on 2 google eyes, and there you have it. A cute painted spider pumpkin for Halloween!
i gotta remember this one for next year--adorable:)
ReplyDeleteThis is so cute! And such an easy craft :) Love it!!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a cute idea!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you!!! I am finishing my Witches Hat for our Trunk or Treat tomorrow in our church and I needed a spider. Did you see my display in my home. I can just whip out my silver paint and make me a spider out of my mini pumpkins (I have a ton) and VOILA! I got me a spider!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteDo you do Trunk or Treat? You meet at a public parking lot. Every decorates their car trunks and the costumed kids parade by and get candy from you scary or funny decorated trunks. Mine? Oh Witch Haven!
I have just heard about Trunk or Treat for the first time this year the other day. I thought it sounded a bit odd, but pretty cool at the same time lol. If I get more information on it earlier next year, we are definitely going to check it out!
DeleteI hope you take pics of the event! I would totally love to see what it is all about!
Had to pin this. Thank you for showing us.
ReplyDeleteThanks Dharper :)
DeleteOh I have a whole table full of those mini pumpkins and a drawer full of pipe cleaners. They aren't black but that's ok!
ReplyDeleteWho says Halloween has to be about all black? Make it multi colored for a Fun House look :)
DeleteHurray! This is such good timing. We're way late getting our pumpkins carved this year (too long of a line at the 1st pumpkin patch we went to), but we DO have our pumpkins now. I got a little one to make a spider pumpkin... a craft I bookmarked...but the craft used black duct tape (and pipe cleaners). This looks WAAAAY easier!!
ReplyDeleteTomorrow I'm picking up some spray paint...heck, we might even have some in the garage. Woot! Thanks for the post!
Ugh, don't get me started on pumpkin carving. That is the one thing I HATE doing each year. It would be much better if the kids would pick simple patterns, but no, they want intricate designs. Spray paint makes it much easier lol.
Deletegreat craft!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Annmarie!
DeleteI LOVE spiders! This craft is so cute. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteSo cute!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun idea!
My GRANDdaughter would love making this. She has named her pumpkin Stanley, so we could make him Stanley the Spider!
ReplyDeletethat is so cute! Thank you for joining in the fun at the Thursday Favorite Things hop. Happy Tuesday wishes xo P.S. sorry I'm so late visiting :-)
ReplyDeletePerfect timing and you make it look so easy and fun!
ReplyDeleteThat is cute and easy to do. First, find the hot glue gun - I know I have one somewhere....
