Target Breakfast Twist #PlatefullCoOp #Spon

I have always wanted to be one of those moms who wakes up early, has a few minutes alone, then has time to fix her family a hearty, home cooked breakfast before sending everyone out the door for the day. Reality is, we usually wake up with just enough time to get our teeth brushed, get dressed, then gobble down a quick breakfast before rushing out the door. I insist that everyone eats before leaving each morning, but some mornings can get stressed when still sleepy kids can't make a decision on what exactly they want to eat. As much as my kids love cereal, they do get burnt out on eating it every day. I need to come up with quick, yet creative recipes that are tasty and will get bellies full in the short time we have. Target knows that busy family mornings are on the rise, so they want to invite you to view the Target Breakfast Twist where you will be able to find quick breakfast ideas, and recipes that can be tossed together in as little as 2 minutes!

Target carries a large assortment of products that will fill your morning with nutritious, flavorful, and quick to prepare breakfasts. Whip up some fruity parfaits, yogurt granola, or caramel nut oatmeal with products from Quaker, Jif, and Nature Valley that will have your family saying "YUM!"

I was sent an assortment of products to help make our mornings go a little smoother.

I try to encourage my kids to have a little fruit at breakfast, and by simply making a peanut butter chocolate dipping cup by using Jif Cream Peanut Butter and Nutella Spreads, they have no problem reaching for the apple slices!

Or pop a little Jif on some banana slices, add a dollop of whip cream and a cherry for some fun banana bites!

Banana Split Bites

Some mornings it can't be avoided, and we have to grab breakfast on the go to eat in the car. I like to have little bags of trail mix already tossed together in the pantry to take on the way out the door. I like to use Nature Valley Granola, mini chocolate chips, and a dried fruit like cranberries or raisins.

  1. Anything, ANYTHING made with Nutella is A-OK in my book. These are some good ideas, but I am going to stick with the Nutella ones.

    1. Nutella is soooo good, isn't it Robin? I always take a huge hunk off the butter knife for myself when I make the girls Nutella sandwiches lol.

  3. I almost never eat industrial products and it would be nice if Americans would switch to preparing food from fresh ingredients, but I don't think it will happen since it's easier using something readymade.
Most of the blocks in my country have their bread shop so we buy fresh bread and eat it with margarine, cheese or something else for breakfast :)

    1. While I do think more Americans are making the switch to healthier alternatives over prepackaged foods, I don't see us giving them up completely any time soon. We like the convenience way too much I suppose. I do love the idea of fresh bakeries on each corner, but we just don't have that here. Hitting up the grocery store and shopping the fresh bread is hit or miss. Some days you'll find something yummy, other days every thing is picked over and unappealing looking. And most of us are just way too lazy to make bread from scratch, though I have taken a huge interest in doing so myself this past year :)

  6. I have never understood Nutella. I have never actually been inside a home that has Nutella, so maybe that's why. I think I've eaten it at some point, so surely someone I knew had some and just hid it from me so I wouldn't realize I was inside a Nutella home. Other than this, I think Target has firmly established itself as the middle to upper class WalMart, the place to go where you dress nicely and aren't accosted by scary looking dirty people who seem to take pride in how badly they are able to present themselves to the world at large.
