Our Easter was shaping up to be a little rocky this year. Allison came down with a nasty stomach bug that lasted 4 days! She was invited to an Easter party on Saturday, and though she said she felt fine, I thought it was best to keep her home. This got me pegged as "The Worst Mom EVER!"
stomp, stomp, stomp. However, shortly after the time the party was supposed to start, her belly started hurting again and I got an apology. Yep, mom always knows best ;)
Thankfully, by Easter Sunday the bug finally passed and both of the girls were able to do a little egg hunt at their grandma's house.
The weather was perfect. No sick kids. I couldn't have asked for a better Easter!
How did you spend your Easter this year?
Glad that she got better by Easter Sunday! :) We had a fun, albeit chaotic, Easter egg hunt with some friends.. and a simpler one at home just for Lil Pumpkin too :P

Horrible bugs. They never care about our Easter plans, do they. How rude! My Momma always used to say "I know best," too. I believe her. Ironically I spent this years Happy Easter at my mother-in-laws's place. Don't tell my Momma. ;)
ReplyDeletehope that dalmatian in granny's yard doesn't bite :)))
ReplyDeleteGerms are a pain and hit at any time, glad they went away and she had a fun day
ReplyDeleteA great easter came out of it it looks like
ReplyDeleteThank god she got better! Happy belated Easter!
ReplyDeletestomach bug is no fun. I had one last year and it was the worst pain I've ever been in.
ReplyDeleteOh boy, a tummy bug is never a good thing. I am glad it passed quickly because sometimes those things can drag on!
ReplyDeleteYou are such a bad mom. Teasing! I'm glad she got over it. I hope no one else gets it now.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun Easter for the kids, glad things turned out better. We made a nice dinner together. It was nice.
ReplyDeleteLOL. Stomp stomp stomp. I can totally relate to that! Glad the weather cooperated!
ReplyDeleteOh, too bad Allison missed the party. I love the photo of her. lol You always put on the funniest 'downer' photos. Smart Mom you are!!!! Is that a sis in the swing? That ain't you, am it? lol My Easter was nice on one part and then sad on one part = got to go to church finally, but had to cancel out on going to my other daughters an hour away, but she is coming to my house today so there ya go. Thanks for your wonderful friendship. ♥, Renae
ReplyDeleteOh no what a time to fall ill - so pleased to hear she felt well enough to join in the fun on Sunday though :) x
ReplyDeleteOh, my son and I spent it at home as my husband is in Manila for his training. Your Easter was more fun! I'm glad your daughter has recovered on Easter.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad your daughter was feeling better for Easter! Stomach bugs really are the worst.
ReplyDeleteWe had two egg hunts and a delicious ham dinner at my mother in law's home.
ReplyDeleteAww, I'm sorry that she came down with a terrible stomach bug. It always puts a damper on the holidays when the kids are sick.
ReplyDeleteI remember getting sick during Christmas I coudln't eat any of the good food and it made me sad :(
ReplyDeleteYAY for no sick kids!! Glad everyone had a great day!
ReplyDeleteGlad she got better by Easter, I hate when we get called worst mom ever for doing the right thing. Hopefully she will get to go to another party soon.

ReplyDeleteWe went to church then had a church Easter lunch. It was a blast and nice to spend time with family and friends
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm glad she's feeling better! That bug is NO fun! We had Easter dinner with my fam on Saturday, and then three Easter services Sunday morning, Easter lunch with my hubby's fam and then I went and photographed a wedding LOL (I know, I know, I don't know what the heck I was thinking. I. AM. SO. TIRED.)
ReplyDeleteMy toddler had his very first Easter this year--along with his first peep, his first chocolate bunny and his first Easter basket! It was a lot of fun.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad the bug passed quickly, and they got lots of eggs - hopefully lots of candy/chocolate too.
ReplyDeleteSmiles.
