My kids always get a kick out of finding misspelled words. They sent me this picture yesterday because they couldn't believe how stupid the whole sign looked. SRPING In. See What New. I think those boards would benefit from a little spell check!
What's the funniest misspelled word you have found out in public?
That would have bothered me SO much that I would have gone in and said something to someone that worked there. Ugh!!
ReplyDeleteI knew this one would get you worked up Robin ;)
DeleteWait - that's not a word??? :)
ReplyDeleteI see misspellings a lot on gas station signs and it always cracks me up.
DeleteI only ever see Their and There and stuff like that in real life. I guess Canadians know how to spell lol
ReplyDeleteYou Canadians sure are smart ;)
Deletewell, that is why those people work only as shop assistants ....
ReplyDeleteI can't think of any off the top of my head. I have seen some store names that had me rolling though. ;)
ReplyDeletewonter srping sommer foll
ReplyDeletehahah! sounds about right!
DeleteAnd what's with the "St Vincent." ? That poor Saint is likely rolling in his grave.
ReplyDeletexoRobyn
That's the name of the thrift store Robyn. Though I am sure he is definitely turning in his grave over that hot mess!
DeleteWhat I can assure that I have discovered many misspelled words, but all in Spanish!
ReplyDeleteOh that's a good one, funny! I always get a kick out of these misspellings.
ReplyDeleteI'm not the best speller in the world, but certainly caught that! I have to say I've become a better speller through blogging. I type all the time.
ReplyDeleteI can remember when my Hubs had a Gun shop and I would go out in the cold to change the sign. I didn't care how wrong it was spelled.... I just wanted in out of the cold.
ReplyDeleteBet it was management
ReplyDeleteI live in Memphis. I regularly see misspelled words on company trucks driving around here. "Ax me about our specials" and "dollah sto" and crap like that. I used to think it was on purpose, like they were trying to be funny. But then I asked some of them about the signs and they didn't have a clue that anything was wrong.
ReplyDeleteThat is sad, but on the same hand, it's kind of funny too. Reminds me of that pic of a check that floats around online. Where the person wrote out $150 for "A hunnit and fiddy". We are supposed to be one of the greatest nations, yet we can't even teach people how to spell properly.
DeleteOh goodness who are the people managing these boards??? haha
ReplyDeleteAi @ Sakura Haruka
LOL A good chuckle to start my day! Thanks girls!!
ReplyDeleteI try to ignore all the words not spelled correctly-it gets me too crazy. If I am with my Mom then I am forced to look because she gets even crazier!
ReplyDeleteThat's funny! I can't remember what word it was, but it was on a SCHOOL sign, and they were congratulating themselves for being an "A" school...with a misspelled word! I was DYING!!!
ReplyDeleteYou would think they'd send somebody out there that knew how to spell. Oh well. Haven't seen any lately that I can remember but they are funny when you run across them!
ReplyDeleteI agree, that is hilarious! They are so observant to catch that sign. I wish I ran across signs like that...they do make funny shares! :)
ReplyDeleteI love to find those signs too. Good times.
ReplyDeleteOh my Mom was a spy for the 'misspelled' sign all the time. Hilarious! {yet, gives thrift shops a bad rap} but still makes me chuckle.
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU FOR YOUR FUN COMPLIMENTS!!! You know this whole months upon months of contemplating "could I really go pure bald?" and here I am four days away from no choice and I am actually embracing it! The thing is, I don't like anything on my head, I hardly ever where a hat and then all of a sudden I start? I am loving the no hair to deal with. Cuts out about 1/2 hour of my beauty schedule anyway. lol Thanks for your love and support.
Oh and yes baby LML is so cute. Ya know, his hair is red. Red like his Daddy's. It is. Awh ~ he is such a dream of a baby, come true. {easy delivery: 5 hours. 7.9 lbs 20.5 " and peaceful and his eyes are hug when open.}
