Spell Check

My kids always get a kick out of finding misspelled words. They sent me this picture yesterday because they couldn't believe how stupid the whole sign looked. SRPING In. See What New. I think those boards would benefit from a little spell check!

What's the funniest misspelled word you have found out in public?

  1. That would have bothered me SO much that I would have gone in and said something to someone that worked there. Ugh!!

    1. That's the name of the thrift store Robyn. Though I am sure he is definitely turning in his grave over that hot mess!

  9. I'm not the best speller in the world, but certainly caught that! I have to say I've become a better speller through blogging. I type all the time.

  10. I can remember when my Hubs had a Gun shop and I would go out in the cold to change the sign. I didn't care how wrong it was spelled.... I just wanted in out of the cold.

  11. I live in Memphis. I regularly see misspelled words on company trucks driving around here. "Ax me about our specials" and "dollah sto" and crap like that. I used to think it was on purpose, like they were trying to be funny. But then I asked some of them about the signs and they didn't have a clue that anything was wrong.

    1. That is sad, but on the same hand, it's kind of funny too. Reminds me of that pic of a check that floats around online. Where the person wrote out $150 for "A hunnit and fiddy". We are supposed to be one of the greatest nations, yet we can't even teach people how to spell properly.

  14. I try to ignore all the words not spelled correctly-it gets me too crazy. If I am with my Mom then I am forced to look because she gets even crazier!

  15. That's funny! I can't remember what word it was, but it was on a SCHOOL sign, and they were congratulating themselves for being an "A" school...with a misspelled word! I was DYING!!!

  16. You would think they'd send somebody out there that knew how to spell. Oh well. Haven't seen any lately that I can remember but they are funny when you run across them!

  17. I agree, that is hilarious! They are so observant to catch that sign. I wish I ran across signs like that...they do make funny shares! :)

  19. Oh my Mom was a spy for the 'misspelled' sign all the time. Hilarious! {yet, gives thrift shops a bad rap} but still makes me chuckle.

    THANK YOU FOR YOUR FUN COMPLIMENTS!!! You know this whole months upon months of contemplating "could I really go pure bald?" and here I am four days away from no choice and I am actually embracing it! The thing is, I don't like anything on my head, I hardly ever where a hat and then all of a sudden I start? I am loving the no hair to deal with. Cuts out about 1/2 hour of my beauty schedule anyway. lol Thanks for your love and support.

    Oh and yes baby LML is so cute. Ya know, his hair is red. Red like his Daddy's. It is. Awh ~ he is such a dream of a baby, come true. {easy delivery: 5 hours. 7.9 lbs 20.5 " and peaceful and his eyes are hug when open.}
