Mariah doesn't make an appearance on the blog often. Mainly because she's hit the moody teenager stage where she wants to hide in her room all day. You know how that goes. But, today is her 15th birthday. In honor of that, I am dedicating today's post to her, and am going to post up 15 Mariah facts :)
1- She's smart. She takes all honors classes and aces each one.
2- Even though she chews her nails down, she's obsessed with nail polish.
3- She loves Harry Potter.
4- She's shy.
5- But through that, she's not afraid to call one out on their B.S.
6- She can be very sarcastic. We are so proud lol.
7- She's always been wise beyond her years, which makes it hard for her to connect with kids her own age.
8- Her favorite book is The Fault In Our Stars.
9- Music makes her very happy.
10- She loves to Zumba, even more than I do!
11- She doesn't watch any television, but is always glued to her phone.
12- She inherited my naturally curly hair, which she hates.
13- She never wears makeup.
14- She's a great big sister. And cousin.
15- And daughter too.
I'd like to ask my blogging friends to wish her a very happy birthday today :)

ReplyDeleteSince she's wise beyond her years I'd pat yourself on the back. That means you are doing a great job as a parent. She'll find her niche. It just means that she's comfortable within herself. While others are trying to figure out who they are, she already knows.
I was shy when I was her age to. Now I'm a teacher. Certain life events make you come out of your shell.
We always talked to her like she was an adult growing up. No baby talk. I sometimes wondered if we should have let her have those coddling moments, but as she gets older and I see that she is more advanced than her peers, I don't regret it one bit. I think her real friends are going to come when she gets to college and is able to connect with more people that are like her.
DeleteHappy birthday, Mariah! You don't need make up when you are naturally that pretty. :)
