Trix Mail

Allison found a postcard cut-out on the back of her box of Trix cereal. If you wrote the rabbit a birthday greeting, he would send you a surprise in the mail.

Trix Birthday

This got Allison so excited, and she immediately mailed the card off. Then immediately started checking the mail every day wondering where her surprise was. It says 6 to 8 weeks, and after 2 she was already getting irritated that it hadn't arrived. Patience is not her strong suit.

Trix Birthday

Honestly, it only took about 4 weeks, which seemed pretty quick to me.

What was the surprise gift? A ball, flip book, and color changing spoon. What fun!

Do you like getting toys from your cereal boxes?

  2. That looks like a pretty good surprise. Elliott really wanted to do this. He was disappointed that his aunt didn't want Trix, since we can't eat it at our house because of the dye.

    1. Darn Carla! I had another box, but tossed it because it was only one per household. I would have sent it in for Elliot. :(

  3. No way! I kind of want to run out and get some Trix to see if that postcard is still on the box.

    1. I think the promo runs for the rest of the year. You might come across a box with one still on it :)

  5. That's cute. I'm glad they followed through. That's what I worry about with things like that. The kid gets all excited, and nothing comes.

Mica saw that there was a message in one of his Captain Underpants books. It said, "Say 'Kerplow' over and over again. If you get in trouble send us an envelope addressed to.... and a self addressed envelope." Of course he didn't know what a self addressed envelope is. He's expecting a toy. I said, "You won't get that." He's like, "Why?" I said, "Whatever it is, has to fit in a business envelope because that's what they told us to send to them." I just sent it off 2 days ago, so we'll see.

    1. I worry about things like that too. So many times things get lost in the mail. I will send these things off without the girls knowing and let it be a surprise if it shows up. This one she saw before hand, so I couldn't do it. Glad they came through too!

I hope you keep us updated on what they mail you for Captain Underpants. I always wonder what the surprises will be too!
