Today marks the last day that we will ever have a child in elementary school. This is Allison's last photo as an elementary student. It is so bittersweet!
Awwww, I am happy for her and sad for you. Next year my oldest will be in 5th grade and will be done with elementary school (and I will probably cry), but as of right now, my little man still has 4 more years to go.
Is 5th or 6th grade the last one for elementary school where you are? Today's our last day too. I'm putting little man in the shirt he wore the first day, but he's already outgrown the pants!
4th grade is the last here. It used to be 5th, but about 4 years ago they changed it. I'm not thrilled she'll be in a school with older kids, but Mariah handled it just fine, so I'm sure she will too.
Funny how those legs have a way of outgrowing pants, but the shirts always last longer. It seems we are forever buying new pants to avoid the flood waters!
yaaaay..congrats for Allison..for sure she'll remember all those lovely time at the elementary school ..my son will start his class in NY this September..2nd grade..wish us luck :)
AWWW! Congrats on Allison's big day! It's such a bittersweet moment I'm sure,I'm working on my second he will start kindergarten in the fall :(. They grow up so fast!

DeleteI remember when that happened, and then it was on to 6th grade. To a school full of drama.
ReplyDeleteshe has a lovely teacher
ReplyDeleteAwww...that is sad/happy! That's a great photo of Allison and her teacher.

ReplyDeleteHave a tanfastic rest of week ;-)
Oh! So much to be proud of and sad about all at the same time!
ReplyDeleteAwww, that IS bittersweet!
ReplyDeleteSo much to look forward to--Jr. High at least when I went was not so very different!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Allison, sure makes you very excited to begin a new stage!
ReplyDeleteShe looks so small to be done with elementary! My son is so tall (4'7, and he's only 8) that I think most other kids are small, though. :)
ReplyDeleteWe don't have Junior High here in Canada, I'm not sure if it is a good thing or bad! Congrats to your girl!

ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! That is such a milestone! Congrats to her and enjoy your summer!
ReplyDeleteGood luck in middle school. Does she have to change physical buildings?
ReplyDeleteSadly, yes, a new building and all new friends. Fingers crossed it's a smooth transition!
DeleteThey grow up so fast. Congratulations Allison, you have the world ahead of you.
