Wordless Wednesday ~ Middle School

*Sniff, Sniff* Crummy photo, but I had to capture Allison's first day as a middle school student. My baby is no longer a baby anymore :(

*On another note, Mariah is thrilled. High School is without power today, so she gets an extra day of summer vacation! Yay!

Is summer break officially over where you live?

  1. It's a great photo!!! We start next week actually. This is the first year we go back before Labor Day and it's because we had SO many snow days last year that we went until the last week in June and they don't want that to happen again this year.

  6. Allison stop growing. Oh ya she wants to be taller. Middle school is a big step. I wish her well in her adventure.

YAY for Mariah. I bet she loved another day off. I'd like an extra free day to.

  7. Kids go back to school here tomorrow. Most of Elliott's friends don't seem happy about it. Elliott isn't really happy about the extra time spent in school either, but he'll adjust quickly. I have some really fun stuff planned for the next two weeks. :)

  8. For some reason it seems like half the people I know thought middle school was the worst time of their lives. The other half thought it was OK. I guess a lot depends on what school you went to and who the teachers were. My teachers were all raging haters of the male sex, and they made sure we all knew it every single day.

    1. I liked middle school. It was high school that was a real pain. It was all about the football players. They could do no wrong.

  11. Allison is in 6th grade? What the what the? She was just this little nine year old just yesterday, right? Man!
Congrats to Mariah for an extra day of vaca. lol

Thanks sweetie for all your help and support you have provided to me thus far. Chemo 6 is doin' it's thang but I am managing it better. I can not wait for Sunday Sept 7th. No more symptoms after that day. Hallelujah!

I met my radiation doctor yesterday and he is going to be fabulous. They have this new super scanner that pin points the radiation so well, you have zero side effects. Whahooooooooooooo!

So from now on any of the treatments should be nice and mellow. No more green faced, or swollen red face that chemo would provide. lol ♥

  14. I have no children-but I definitely notice when school is in session--there are more cars on the road and you can't make rights on red near schools! Our schools do not start until after Labor Day around here.
