Actually, I leave her alone on social media so she forgets that I read it. Otherwise, I am sure she wouldn't post up half of what she does lol. I guess that's what made this one all that much more special, since she wasn't doing it for recognition from me :)
Now that is a compliment every Mom deserves from her children! I have no kids and compliments make me blush so I won't tell you what they were-but I have received a few in my day!
So sweet. The most touching thing my son said to me was that he wants to marry me when he grows up...I know all sons say this to their moms but it was just too cute to hear it.
My daughter is great like that! But then again she is pregnant with twins and knows she's going to need a babysitter at some point so she has been throwing out some good ones lately. My son was in the Marines and when a fellow soldier said the Commanding officer scared the s#@t out of him, he looked at the gury and said "He's nothing you should have lived with my mom the last 18 years" AAWWWWW!
That is so sweet and I love that it was spontaneous like that. I have received some nice compliments over the years from family and friends but I guess the ones from my elderly parents and children are the once I cherish the most.
Oh wow! That is so nice to find. Say glad you decided against the long tall boot and went for booties. I can't do tall long ones for a few reasons, calves too big, get too hot and they don't go up all the way, hence the large calves. I am in love with my booties. Glad to see you comment, thought you would be kissing Mickey by now? lol ♥, Renae
The nicest compliment I have ever received was one telling me how generous I was. This meant so much to me because it really is something I have to work at. I always told my mother I would have been a great only child when she would make me share with my siblings.
Well that makes parenting a teen worth it, hahaha Remind her of that when she gets mad at you some day. ;)
ReplyDeleteYou know, she insulted me a few tweets later in true teenage fashion. Comparing my efficient texts to her boyfriends moms. Mine goes:
DeleteOn my way. Or - Here.
His mom's goes:
Ok, honey. Leaving Now :) and
Hi! I am here :)
I guess they think you are being mean if you don't fully compose a tweet complete with smiley face hahahaha!
That is a wonderful comment from your daughter. :) I've been told that I'm funny and a good story teller.
ReplyDeletesuch a heart-warming tweet! :)
ReplyDeletesuch a sweet note...and coming from your daughter makes it worth thousands more...My kids always say I'm a great cook :)
ReplyDeleteI wish my kids would say that. They prefer Ramen and Poptarts over my cooking lol!
DeleteHmmm now what is she setting you up for? lol

ReplyDeleteThat's very sweet of her to say! My daughter would do that from time to time but then be mad at me for one reason or another.
ReplyDeleteMy 7 year old yelled at me that she hates her beautiful mommy lol I bet your kid has done that line to you as well. This is sweet.
ReplyDeleteI got a good belly laugh out of that one! At least she softened the blow a little bit by putting in a nice compliment in there :)
