Music Made Me Do It! SOL REPUBLIC’s Saviors of Sound Share Stories of Musical Inspiration #MMMDI {Giveaway}

As a music lover, some days I feel I breathe music. I don't think I could go a day without it. I start my day with turning on the car radio while driving my girls to school. I get moving to the music while cleaning. I sweat it out during my hip hop fitness classes. Music motivates and inspires. It evokes passion, joy, sorrow and amusement, as well as a wide range of pure emotions. It can be a voice when we don't have one of our own, conveying thoughts for us. Music has a way of touching us, and even has the ability to make us step out of our comfort zone, encouraging us to try new things.

Has music ever inspired you to do something like that? Over the next month, SOL REPUBLIC 's Saviors of Sound will be sharing their stories about how music has enabled them to amazing things, from the incredible to the cringe-worthy in their first ever campaign, Music Made Me Do It (#MMMDI). Athlete Michael Phelps and DJ/Producer/Dim Mak Records Founder Steve Aoki are two of the SOL REPUBLIC SOS involved with the project. Everyone is encouraged to view the #MMMDI video below, then share your #MMMDI moment.

For me, music has helped me lose 15 pounds this year. When I go to the gym, the music is pumping and it gets me to work harder. It even made me sign up for the hip hop fitness class. I can't dance. At all. Watching the girls move and shake to hip hop beats was a bit intimidating to me. But the music drew me in, and before I knew it, I was hooked and started going to 3 classes a week. The workouts are intense, and soon I saw the weight just melting off. Hurray for fun music that is making me get fit and healthy!

Submissions can be anything you choose that has been motivated by music. Has it inspired you to travel across the country? Join a team? Profess your undying love to the girl next door?

The giveaway is open to residents of the U.S.A. and Canada, 18+. No PO Boxes will be accepted. The giveaway will run through 11/3. Winners will have 48 hours to respond to winning email or they forfeit the prize and a new winner will be selected.
