As we head towards Christmas, I am reminded that my kids don't need fancy toys for the holiday. They have the most fun playing with something as simple as a cardboard box.
YOu have a beautiful Christmas message here. I am so sad that we really dont have any extra budget for Christmas and I envy all the nice Christmassy things in blogs that I visit and I envy them. But this post is so true. Simple things really makes kids happy and maybe I dont need to worry about Christmas anymore. Sorry if I am not making any sense. My head is just overflowing with happiness when I saw your photo =) Dropping by from http://pixiedusk.livejournal.com/323666.html
That is so cute. It's funny how we can spend hundreds of dollars on toys and they're happy with a box.
ReplyDeleteBoth of them look pretty happy.
ReplyDeleteBoth look happy with the box and yep, the cats agree
ReplyDelete:) I agree both look real happy :)
ReplyDeletecardboard boxes are such fun :) The dog seems to agree too!
ReplyDeleteThe look on the dog's face is awesome. :) My cat LOVES boxes. It's her favorite part of the holidays!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great picture! Our animals are LOVING the boxes that all the Christmas gifts are arriving in, too!
ReplyDeleteThat's what my dad used to say. Throw the toy away and keep the box
ReplyDeleteThis happens all the time with my boys too. They would much rather play with empty boxes.
ReplyDeleteHaha! brilliant photo :-)
ReplyDeleteHave a boxtastic week :-)
LOL, every time, right?! My daughter could get the coolest toy, then bug me to make a rocket ship out of the box! smh.
ReplyDeleteI remember my DD's playing with them when they were younger. My Youngest one still uses them for crafts and when her cousins come over to play.
ReplyDeleteMy kids and dog love cardboard boxes!! I don't know why we spend money on fancy toys!!

ReplyDeletemy dog has never liked boxes. Never knew why. Cats on the other hand
ReplyDeleteSame for my kids. Give them an empty Kleenex box, some paper and Scotch tape and they can play for hours.
ReplyDeleteAhhhh Adorable!
ReplyDeleteSo true! Especially my 2-yr-old twins-they have a rubbermaid bin in the kitchen they play all the time in. It's all they need.
ReplyDeleteLOVE this photo! And yes, the boxes are always more fun! I'm glad that doesn't change the older they get ha ha! :)

Great picture.
ReplyDeleteFond memories of playing with big boxes in the 60s. Some things never change.
ReplyDeleteLove the look on your dog's face! It seems a box is the universal toy for all kids.
