Quick & Easy Rum Balls!

If you are in need of a delicious dessert to take to a holiday gathering this season but are short on time, this Rum Ball recipe from Golden Blossom Honey is PERFECT! They can be tossed together in 15 minutes, no baking required, and look pretty on any dessert table!

Rum Balls

Ingredients:

1 box (10 oz.) vanilla wafers
1 cup confectioner's sugar
1 cup walnuts or pecans, chopped
3 Tablespoons GOLDEN BLOSSOM HONEY
1/2 cup rum
2 Tablespoons cocoa

Directions:

In a food processor mix together all ingredients. Form into 1 inch balls. Roll each ball in granulated sugar or cocoa powder. Store in airtight container.

Yield: 5 dozen

I like to roll my rum balls in many different coatings. Powder sugar, chopped nuts, and candy sprinkles are all great options too!

  1. I've never had these. I've never had rum cake. I have tasted rum...but it's been so long. It tastes a bit like butterscotch, yes? That's a fun/festive way to use your honey!

    1. I honestly don't know what it tastes like Rosey. I don't drink alcohol, with the exception of wine every now and again, but my husband and his co-workers love Rum Balls. My niece makes them for the holidays every year too and the adult family members gobble them up!

    2. Pretty sure they'd be a hit at most any holiday party. I don't drink much either...a shot of whiskey every now and again (we're talking every five years or so, lol).

    1. I never knew how easy they were to make. My niece makes a big production out of them every year, so I always thought they were tedious. I couldn't believe I had them done in 15 minutes!

  5. I made some in high school but I think we used too much rum (on purpose, lol). I'll make them again now and these are beautiful. Plus, I still love rum.

    1. I don't even know why I didn't think of adding raisins! We have rum raisin ice cream here too, so that should have been a no brainer! I am totally adding some for when I take these to our holiday get togethers this year! Thanks for the suggestion Dezzy!

    2. You can also make them with cherry brandy and some cherries inside :) Or with whiskey and bits of diced caramels inside :)
