I have a dirty little secret. Most people know me as a clean freak. I don't like dirt or messes, so if you ever come to my place, you'll walk into an almost spotless home. Just don't go into my basement. That's where my dirty little secret is.  For years, my basement has become the household catch all. Holiday decor, outgrown toys, yard sale and thrift store boxes have been piling up down there, but the worst part is, that's where my washer and dryer are located. Which means I hate going down there, so laundry may or may not get done on a timely manner here. It's a running joke. "Don't wear that shirt unless you don't want to see it again for a month!" my family will advise each other. Jason decided to try to nip this problem in the bud, coming up with a plan to revamp a section of our basement into a pretty laundry/craft room area. We diy most of our own renovations, so Valentine's Day was spent laying tile on the floor. How romantic is that!? 8 hours of kneeling and stretching over a hard concrete floor, lifting heavy tile and mud buckets left us wiped out and our muscles screaming for relief by the end of the day. And I almost cried for joy when I remembered I had Salonpas waiting in my cabinet to give my aches and pains much needed relief.

Salonpas Pain Relief

I almost always opt for topical pain relief products over oral medications for a number of reasons. With topical, you get targeted pain relief, it works fast, can last up to 8 hours, and is convenient to use with little medicine traveling through the blood stream.

Salonpas offers several different pain relief products that are effective at quick pain relief. The Pain Relieving Jet Spray has a little nozzle that can easily target and deliver 2 powerful medicines to problems areas. The Deep Pain Relieving Gel rushes 3 pain fighters deep for effective, penetrating relief. Both of these products are easy to apply, go on smooth and clear, and dry quickly. I didn't notice any burning sensation to the skin like I have received from other topical pain relievers, but it does have a strong menthol scent. The scent does fade after a short amount of time though.

I don't know about other women, but I like to keep pain patches on hand for those ugly times during the month when cramping tends to pop up. And, since I have ulcerative colitis, I tend to get belly cramps frequently. Sometimes the only relief I can get is by applying a pain relief patch. Salonpas Pain Relieving Gel-Patch Hot soothes on contact, then delivers deep penetrating waves of heat that lasts up to 8 hours. The Salonpas Pain Relieving Patch is the strongest labeled OTC pain reliever available without a prescription, and lasts for up to 12 hours! Both patches adhere to the skin well, without sliding or falling off.

While most OTC analgesics can only claim to treat minor or mild pain, Salonpas is the only OTC analgesic labeled to treat both mild and tougher moderate pain. It has also been fully reviewed and approved by the FDA's new drug application process. For my family, Salonpas is the clear choice in getting fast and effective pain relief.

Salonpas is available at most drug stores, including Walgreens,CVS/pharmacy, Drugstore.com, RiteAid and Walmart. If you would like to learn more about Salonpas, be sure to visit their website.

Make sure to come back to see our renovated basement. Fingers crossed it will be complete in the next 2 weeks!
