Yikes--I never had nor will I ever have the guts to jump off a train-even if it were standing still. I'd probably break an ankle or something with my luck.
I love old trains. We have some good ones around California that I've seen on TV. Amazing how well preserved they are and that we still use trains today. Nice action shot too.
Great photos of your daughter jumping off the train. It reminds me of that scene in Fried Green Tomatoes where the girls hitch a ride on the train, but have to jump off. One girl dares the other and they both jump. It's funny because Iggy, the girl that dared the other one, ends up getting hurt, while her friend helps her hobble home. Good movie!
Nice action shots ;) My kids LOVE it when we get a chance to go to the local railroad and they get to board the trains.
ReplyDeleteshe's a proper little frog!
ReplyDeleteAll those years of gymnastics has made her that way.
DeleteThat's funny! A great action shot for sure! Get off the train Allison! :)

ReplyDeleteOf course you know, orange and purple are close opposites on the color wheel, and thus a perfect photo or painting balance! Love this (smile).
ReplyDeleteI don't think I've ever been one of those trains that were taken off the tracks many decades before

Adorable photos. There was an old train in Audubon Park that they used to let us play on when I was a kid. Fond memories.
ReplyDeleteGood photos. What are you using for a camera?
ReplyDeleteHi Maureen! These shots were taken with the Nikon D7100. I believe I used a 40mm prime lens.

ReplyDeleteLove the photos and can't tell the last time I was on an actual train, it's been almost a year. She looks like she was surely enjoying herself.
ReplyDeleteNot sure if the last comment went through. Awesome shots! The color of the numbers and letters on the train matches with her coat.
ReplyDeleteThose are awesome pictures. I bet she had a lot of fun!
ReplyDeleteGreat shot! I love finding unique places to photograph my kiddos.
ReplyDeleteSo cool. I need a better camera or something because I can never get action shots that clear.
