Like most moms, my day starts off pretty early. The first two hours after I wake are spent rushing around getting everyone ready to get out the door on time, lunches packed, kitchen cleaned, then driving the kids to school. By the time I get back home, I'm already exhausted and I know there are plenty more chores to come. But, having "me time" each day is important too, so I always take an hour to just do nothing. I'll brew my morning tea, then make myself a small breakfast and sit down and catch up on a little Netflix. I usually like to have a croissant, muffin or scone with my tea in the morning, it can never be plain! Jam, jelly, honey or butter is a must! I usually make my own whipped honey butter, but a few fruit butter recipes caught my eye on Golden Blossom Honey not too long ago. I loved the idea of adding fruit to my butter to spice up my morning breakfast bread!
Pear Butter, Orange Butter and Strawberry Butter definitely gave my breads an amazing punch of flavors! And they were so simple to make!

ReplyDeleteI'd have to have three slices of bread just to have one of each.
ReplyDeleteAt our house, honey and jelly win out, but cinnamon/sugar is right there, too. I'd love to make more of our own stuff, though.
We love apple butter in our home, but have never attempted it make it on our own.
