Did everyone have a great weekend? I know we did! I was so thankful for warm (and dry!) weather, good friends, and spending time with my family. On Saturday we hosted a cookout at our house, and enjoyed watching the kids twirl around sparklers in the yard.
Followed by a trip downtown to enjoy the city firework display!
On Sunday we went to my niece's house for another BBQ and swimming!
One of my favorite things about summer is getting together with friends and family, spending a lazy weekend eating good food and enjoying each others company. When I am hosting our cookouts, I don't want to spend a lot of time or money on our preparations. That's why I like shopping at CVS/pharmacy for my summer BBQ Essentials.
CVS has everything I need to help me save time and money on summer entertaining. The CVS/pharmacy Total Home line of products are high quality, yet affordable, and I can get all of my Summer BBQ Essentials in one stop.
Total Home Paper Plates and Party Cups, aluminum foil and storage containers make serving and cleaning up after guests a breeze.
Total Home Sanitizing wipes keep areas germ free. I also like to keep sunscreen on hand, as well as insect repellant so I can spend more time chatting with my guests instead of swatting at pesky mosquitoes all day!
Easy to access snacks are always a hit too! CVS/pharmacy has an amazing selection of party favorites from Gold Emblem to choose from! CVS Gold Emblem Beef Jerky, Gold Emblem Almonds, and Gold Emblem Sour Cream & Onion Potato Chips are all excellent options!
If you are doing any summer cookouts or picnics this year, CVS/pharmacy has all you need to make outdoor entertaining a success!
You can find all your summer BBQ Essentials at your nearest CVS/pharmacy or at www.cvs.com.
What are some of your BBQ Essentials?
I'm glad you had a good 4th! We did to. Our neighbors light off enough for everyone to watch. LOL
ReplyDeleteIt's good you got a lot to review from CVS. The timing couldn't be more perfect.
We have so many trees in our area, view stinks, so nobody lights them in my neighborhood. Glad you could poach off your neighbors though :)
DeleteSounds like you had superfun, especially the kids! You don't have pool in your cassa?
ReplyDeleteNo pool here. Our yard is too uneven and there are too many trees. Cleaning it would be such a pain! We do use the neighbor's pool on occasion though.
Deletetoo bad!
DeleteAnd I have to say you look absolutely stunning in that pic with that cute baby boy at Facebook :)
Thank you! :) I always love spending time with the babies in the family!
DeleteWe went to CVS yesterday. :) I love the pool pics, both great shots! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Rosey :) I just wish it would get a little warmer so we could swim a bit more this summer! Today is jeans and sweater kind of day. Ugh!
DeleteThat swimming pool series is so much fun.
ReplyDeleteThanks Rhonda :)
DeleteLooks like you saw an amazing fireworks show. Ours were piddly, at least what I saw of them.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day and week, Theresa.
I always imagined Cali would have a great firework show. Sorry yours wasn't much to look at Robyn!
DeleteI won't be doing any entertaining this summer but I have to agree-CVS has it all-for any situation you find yourself in or for fun like you are obviously having with your family and friends.
ReplyDeleteAnd I love that there is one on almost every corner. I have 3 close to my house, I never have to run far to get what I need!
DeleteIt looks like you had a great time! We had a big barbecue and then set off fireworks afterwards. It was a blast.
ReplyDeleteLots of drinks! For sure and watermelon and corn on the cob. What is a bbq without them??? Looks like you had a great fun time! - Jeanine
ReplyDeleteLooks like a lot of fun. Paper plates and disposable cups are such a necessity for cookouts. It seems like you can never have enough of them.
ReplyDeleteMeat, meat and more meat! LOL - Chicken, Ribs, Hot Dogs, Hamburgers and some Salmon Steaks for good measure! :-)

:) seems like a good fun time
ReplyDeleteI missed out on 4th of July this year. They don't allow fireworks inside city limits (where my house is located) and I had to get up early the next day for work so I missed the local downtown one.
ReplyDeleteI laid around, not as fun as your pad haha pools are fun as long as you don't own them, they are such a pain in the butt to maintain.
ReplyDeleteJuly fourth sounded like a blast! I'm definitely planning on doing more barbequing this summer. I had no idea CVs had such a selection!
ReplyDeleteI definitely have to have paper plates, plastic cups and cutlery so that clean up is pretty easy. I will have to look for Total Home products at CVS. They are new to me!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you guy had a great time. CVS has some great deals on things for sure.
ReplyDeleteCVS is the go to place for quality party supplies that are affordable. My mom worked for them for almost 15 years.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you all had a great 4th of July! Paper goods are definitely the way to go when entertaining to make clean up easier!
ReplyDeleteLove being able to find a good beef seasoned fajita and marinated chicken. In the new area we live in we can't seem to find it. Boo. Total debbie downer. Looks like you had a great holiday!!
ReplyDeleteSummer is the perfect time for a backyard barbecue! Looks like you had a great time!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great fun time! I love to BBQ and it looks like you do have all the essentials. I wish we had a pool though!
ReplyDeleteLooks like an awesome day... Very convenient to go to one place and have them all there 😘 .. I always try to get more fruits et veggies, even for a BBQ day ;)
ReplyDeleteWe have tons of cookouts in the summer, so I will check out the selection at CVS the next time I'm there.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that you are enjoying your summer, with BBQ and water fun!
ReplyDeleteYes, love CVS! They have everything you need to have the perfect bbq! I go at least twice a week.
ReplyDeleteCVS really does have it all! I love using paper plates and cups for summer BBQs to cut down on clean up times.
ReplyDeleteFun BBQ love the pool photos heheh!
ReplyDeleteHave a splashtastic week :-)
What a good time! I really wanted to swim and enjoy the fireworks but our families were so split up this year and I had a fiction story with a deadline. So, I just stayed home with the dogs and wrote.
ReplyDeleteWe hardly ever eat potato chips, so I enjoy getting a bag of them when we have a barbecue. It's so convenient to have a shop around that has all the things needed for a great event. CVS certainly fills that bill.
ReplyDeleteLooks like everyone had a great time! What a great spread of food and snacks!
ReplyDeleteI always have to remind myself to check the propane tank before i have a BBQ. I have ran out more then once. I always make sure we have plenty of good food and snacks.
ReplyDeleteI love shopping at CVS! You can get a lot of great stuff there! Thanks for sharing your Summer BBQ Essentials!
ReplyDeleteI love the photos you shared! And I love shopping at CVS - they have great deals usually and have a lot of products we use.
ReplyDeleteNice you had good weather for the BBQ. Pennsylvania has been so wet that when we get a dry day, it is time to party.
ReplyDeleteDon't you love a place like CVS where you can dash in and get everything you need in one stop?! Looks like you are totally prepared for eating, fun and protection from the elements too!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fab day! We haven't had a BBQ in aggggeeeessss :(

Our country has Australia Day on January 26 (our Summer). We don't have fireworks, but we have a lot of people wearing the Australian flag as capes :P
ReplyDeleteCVS is so convenient to pick up so many things. I love that they have almost everything I need and I don't have to go into a bigger store.
