Peanut Butter Dip For After School Snacking

Like most kids, my girls are hungry when they walk in the door from school. Bags get discarded on the floor and they are high-tailing it into the kitchen looking for something to eat. It's important for us to have something filling and healthy on hand for after school snacking. While they do like fruits and veggies, it's always a treat to add a dip into the mix. My family loves peanut butter, and since it pairs well with fruit, veggies and pretzels, I think we will be keeping this Peanut Butter Dip from Golden Blossom Honey on hand for delicious and healthy after school snacking.

The recipe didn't call for it, but I added in some chocolate chips for a little special treat. It's a small indulgence that my kids enjoy.

Ingredients
1/2 cup crunchy peanut butter
1/4 cup GOLDEN BLOSSOM HONEY
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

  1. Wait, you eat celery and carrots with chocolate? :)
Them baby carrots do look positively veggiedorable, we don't have them here, sadly.

    1. Darling, chocolate goes good with everything ;) actually, we don't eat it with the carrots, but put a few on the celery with some raisins and the girls love it! It's great spread on buttery cracker rounds and graham crackers too!

    2. Such silliness, dear, must be a Hoosier thing :) Putting salty pretzels on cookies, chocolate on celery... madness, I say, madness! :) But you may proceed.....

  2. I totally understand the kids being hungry at the end of the day. My boys are hungry a lot. That's why we eat bigger breakfasts. They have a snack at the end of the day to. :)

    1. Seeing what they serve at school, it's no wonder why they are so hungry when they walk in the door. Mariah takes her lunch every day, but I can't convince Allison to do the same. She prefers yucky school lunches for some odd reason :(

  8. That looks awesome! Only trouble is I'd probably eat all of the chocolate chips while they were off at school.

  11. There are few foods on earth I love more than peanut butter. While I am totally okay with plain fruits and veggies, everything is better when peanut butter is involved.

  13. Yummy! Some peanut butter, too, is pretty healthy. I just have to study the labels to find one that's on the healthy, non-fatty side. This looks really tasty.
