We celebrated Allison's 12th birthday on Saturday. Watching her grow this past year has been quite an adventure! She's matured quite a bit, and it's exciting, yet a little sad, to see her growing more each day. She's swapping cartoons for YouTube makeup and hair tutorials, dolls and stuffed animals are shoved aside for shoes and new fashions, and those Disney photos on her walls have been replaced with the latest "It" boy's photos. *yikes!* As happy as she is to be growing up, I still catch glimpses of my little girl in her from time to time, and that make me happy because she will always be my baby.
With her birthday so close to Christmas, party planning never really works out for her. Her friends are all out of town visiting family, or busy with their own holiday prep, we'll wait until January to throw her a birthday party. We still wanted her to feel special on her birthday this year, so we let her put on her new Biscotti and Kate Mack dress, then took her out shopping and to dinner.
Every little girl deserves to feel like a princess on her birthday, and Allison definitely felt like royalty in her beautiful new dress. She received so many compliments on her dress, the attention she received just made her feel that much more special on her birthday.
The details on the Filigree Flutter Dress were quite impressive! From the beautiful floral sequin designs, to the satin bow, down to the fluffy tiered netting skirt, all wrapped up in a soft pink color is just what any princess would order!
Biscotti and Kate Mack have such an amazing selection of fashions for girls, from size 6x to 16. As a special treat, if you sign up for the Biscotti and Kate Mack mailing list, you'll receive 10% off your first purchase (good for first time subscribers, only). I think a new dress would be a fun way to ring in the New Year, right?
I'd like to give a great big thank you to Biscotti and Kate Mack for making my baby feel like a million bucks on her birthday!

DeleteWe will be starting the room next week. I wanted to do it this weekend, but I think I still need some time to recover from this illness and the stress of the holidays.

Jason doesn't read my blog, so no post for him. He doesn't have social media either, so he's out of a post from me there too. He got a homemade cake, so I figure that's good enough! Hahaha!
