Jason and I are in the thick of planning out our adventures in the New Year. All I have to say is 2017 is going to be one busy year for us! We're planning our first trip to California, we'll be seeing our oldest daughter off to college, and we are starting to design another major home renovation project. I'm not even sure that 'busy' is the correct word for how much stuff we have planned to accomplish next year.
When it comes to fulfilling these goals, or even dealing with every day shenanigans, I don't want to be slowed down by any form of illness. We are smack dab in the middle of cold and flu season, and while some days it seems ideal to lounge around on the couch all day, it isn't ideal when dealing with the drama of cold and sinus pressure.
There's a great big world out there to explore, and when you don't feel your best, it definitely feels like you're missing out on all of the fun. I am planning to stay well ahead of the illness game this winter, and stopped at my local pharmacy earlier this week and stocked up on Advil® Cold & Sinus.
When I get hit with cold and sinus pressure, I am completely miserable. I just want to lock myself in my room and hide under my blankets until I feel normal again. But, as a busy mom, that's a luxury I just can't afford. As they say, the show must go on, so I use Advil® Cold & Sinus to tackle my toughest cold symptoms. The non-drowsy formula combines a strong decongestant to open the airways and has the power of Advil® to relieve the pain associated with sinus pressure. When my symptoms hit, I'll take a mini break with a hot cup of tea and a cozy blanket until relief kicks in.
Advil® Cold & Sinus is the #1 pharmacist brand to treat your worst cold and flu symptoms because it combines Advil® -the number-one selling pain reliever- and a powerful nasal decongestant to provide fast, powerful relief. Ask for it at the pharmacy counter.
If you would like to learn more, be sure to visit the Advil® Respiratory website. Additionally, stay up to date on new products and promotions by connecting with Advil® Cold & Allergy on Facebook.

How to you deal with the drama of cold and flu season?
Yeah, never want any stupid illness slowing one down. Best to keep it at bay any day!
ReplyDeleteKeeping it at bay is the best way!
DeleteWhat a lovely little tea set you have!
ReplyDeleteThat ice in the first photo is out of this world! And it is a funny photo too because all we see from you is big boots and huge jacket :) like Minie Mouse in a parka :)
I haven't had a flu in at least ten years, but that is because I hate people and tend to avoid them :)
Allison still loves to play tea party with that set!
DeleteIt was soooo cold that day. Jason had a face mask on and it started to ice up over his mouth piece. I actually didn't feel bad until we got back in the car, then I couldn't get warm.
I had a touch of it not long ago. The meds they have me on strip me entirely of my immune system, so I have become one of those complete germophobes. Always washing my hands, sanitizing, never touching public surfaces with bare hands. I need to stock up on meds because when I get sick, it's brutal!
Take care of yourself, sister. I also try to be careful because a flu could kill me thanks to my poor ticky ticker. Is your treatment very bad? Can you cope with it? You can eat tons of pickled veggies now that it is winter, they always have tons of natural probiotics in them and can help you recover at least some of the bacteria in the intestines. Sauer kraut especially.
DeleteOh, no. Treatments are a breeze! I'm taking the girls to see SING tomorrow, but I'll send you a FB message with updates when we get back ♥
DeleteYou can always message me at Twitter, dear, if Facebook ugly new messenger bothers you.
DeleteI usually sleep...as long as I can, and drink warm liquids. I usually use Theraflu, but love Advil products, so will try that out and see how it compares.
ReplyDeleteHot tea is my savior when I don't feel well, in addition to my heated blanket. I'd love to sleep, but I think my dogs find it funny to ring the bell to go outside every 10 minutes when I'm ill. They are worse than kids, I swear!
DeleteAllergy and Sinus would be the product I'd use. I could so use the Cold and Sinus one right now. I have a cold. I'd love to lock myself up in a closet. Nope! We have a New Years dance party to get ready for.
ReplyDeleteI wanna come to the dance party! We're just staying in with some light snacks and board games this year. I wanted to go out, but Jason just isn't feeling being around extra company this year :(
