I know a lot of people that are on a gluten-free diet. Some do it because they think it's healthier, others because they think it aids in weight loss, or the most common reason is simply because health issues have forced them to make dietary changes. My husband's chiropractor recently suggested he eliminate, or at least try to cut back on gluten in his diet, but he has never been a fan of gluten-free foods. Since I am the one who buys all of the groceries and does all the cooking, it falls heavily on my shoulders to try to find healthy substitutes that will help my husband follow doctors orders and get to enjoy the food he consumes. I recently heard about The Gluten Free Bar brand and thought their products might be something I could temp Jason into trying.
These new GFB Bites offer a soft, chewy texture in the middle and a crunchy outer coating. These protein packed bites were developed to include meaningful flavors such as tart cherry, dark chocolate, toasted coconut, sun-sweet fruit, and various nuts for protein and depth of flavor.
Unlike many of the gluten-free foods we have tried in the past, these bite-sized clusters pack a huge punch where flavor is concerned! Available in 6 different flavors: Dark Chocolate Coconut, Coconut Cashew Crunch, Chocolate Cherry Almond, PB+J, Dark Chocolate Hazelnut, and Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter, there's something for everyone to enjoy here.
Jason is a huge peanut butter and jelly fan, so I had no problems getting him to sample the PB+J Bites. For him, it was love at first bite. I, on the other hand, am a sucker for all things dark chocolate and coconut, so those bites were right up my alley.
The Gluten Free Bar products are non-GMO Project® Certified, Certified Vegan, soy-free, dairy-free, and Certified Gluten-Free. These bites are perfect for on-the-go, for a post-workout snack, or any time you want a healthy treat option. I am so glad to have found The Gluten Free Bar. They are the first gluten-free brand that fully get our seal of approval.
You can find The Gluten Free Bar products in leading regional stores, top national stores, and popular health food stores nationwide.

I bet coconut and cherry ones are heavenly! It is very hard to find gluten free food here, since nobody even cares about vegetarians here let alone about other more pickier eaters.
ReplyDeleteI did recently discover pea flakes as you've seen on my Facebook and loved them! I've also seen millet and rice flakes in my veggie shop. I like to use them to make burgers, patties or loaves even for veggie carbonara pasta
I find a lot of that gluten free crap is just crap because it switches gluten with some other garbage additive. Good there are some that aren't crap indeed. I have to stay away from it at my feed.
ReplyDeleteI have GOT to buy some of these for my son. It is so hard to find good, healthy GF snacks. With his celiac, we have to be careful with everything we buy. We've tried several - some are a hit, but most are just meh. I was excited the other day when I found these little bites that looked like cheeze-its. So NOT cheeze-its. He won't even touch them. :(
