It's important to my family that we do all that we can to keep our carbon footprint to a minimum. Ever since my girls were little, we've taught them that there is only one Earth, so we need to do all that we can to keep it healthy. One of the simplest things that we can do each day is recycle whatever waste we can. I keep small bins around the house to put recyclables in, then transfer them to the big outdoor bin when they get full. I believe that recycling is a small thing we can do that makes a big difference in our world and am glad that my family feels this way too.
We aren't the only ones that want to keep our planet in tip top shape. In celebration of Earth Day, now through April 30, 2018, TerraCycle®, an international recycling company, and Entenmann's Little Bites® are asking fans to "Make the Pledge" to recycle Little Bites® pouches to help keep our landfills clean. When you send in your Little Bites® pouches, you're not only doing your part to keep the planet clean, you'll also be in the running to win an Entenmann's Little Bites® party for your K-12 classroom! So, how does it work?
You gather up your Little Bites® pouches, send them off to TerraCycle® with their prepaid shipping label, then those pouches are turned into new products, such as park benches, recycling bins, and new playground equipment. When you sign up for the Make the Pledge Recycling Program and send in your pouches, your classroom could win a 5 cases of Entenmann's Little Bites® + 100 upcycled pencil cases!
Allison was excited to join the program since she enjoys taking Little Bites® to school for lunch most days, as do many of her friends, so she decided to make a box to put in her classroom so all of her classmates could contribute to the pledge.
She was able to decorate her box with cute printables from the Make the Pledge program guide to help encourage her classmates to recycle their pouches.
My daughter has yet to find and Entenmann's product she doesn't like, but Little Bites® has always been her favorite. The pouches are great for on-the-go, lunch box fillers, and after school snacking.
While she adores year round flavors like Chocolate Chip Muffin and Fudge Brownies, she also looks forward to their seasonal limited edition flavors, like the Cookies & Creme Muffins we picked up last weekend. She loves the bite sized muffins, and I love that Little Bites® are made with real ingredients that never contain any high fructose corn syrup. They are a treat that I feel good serving her.
You can find Entenmann's Little Bites® at most major supermarkets nationwide. Don't forget to participate in the Make the Pledge Recycling Program through April 30, 2018 for your chance to win a classroom party! Save those pouches and encourage your family, friends, and school to do the same for more rewards and chances to win!
WIN IT!
One lucky Theresa's Mixed Nuts reader is going to win (3) $5 Entenmann's Little Bites® coupons + a $25 Visa gift card to purchase more Little Bites®! The giveaway is open to residents of the U.S., 13+, and will run through 3/28. Winner will have 24 hours to respond to winning email or another winner will be selected. We have not tried the cookies n creme and I will be looking for them since my kids love cookies n creme anything. We usually have their blueberry and chocolate chip muffins. Great after school snack to hold them over until dinner.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely grab some Cookies & Creme before they are gone. They are yummy!
DeleteWhat a lovely cause indeed! I wasn't informed there was just one Earth, I though there were many different ones, at least different dimensions, because I sometimes think I do not belong to the same one with oh so many freaks..
ReplyDeleteI other news it should be forbidden by law for kids to take sugar to school... trust me. you've never worked as a teacher :PPP
You are a hoot Dezzy! When you get to that other planet, maybe send a spaceship my way so I can come visit you ;) I thought you taught the teens? Were they all sugared up after lunch causing a big old headache?
Deleteteens are sugar overdozed and also constantly horny and thus naughty... And they eat the nastiest of foods, whatcha think they have so many pimples on their faces? They eat just fries, candy, burgers, chips and sodas at that age. Try disciplining someone whose motor runs on oil and sugar.
DeleteYes, they do love their sugary snacks. When Allison's friends come over, they are always on the hunt for sugar filled stuff. We do keep a lot of fresh fruits and veggies on hand that they like to though. One of her friends nearly eats me out of frozen strawberries every time she spends the night! I bought her a 5 pound bag for her birthday.
DeleteThe Little Bites flavors all sound really good, I'd like to try the Banana Muffins!

ReplyDeleteThat is great indeed. And a good thing to teach kids. Since I've been out and about I've seen so many a-holes just chucking things out the window. From coffee cups to a couch. They pushed that off a truck and left it in the woods. Douches.
