Maybe a gift coupon to something like Merry Maids that will come clear her house for her? My family also gave me a 2 night stay at a hotel and a bag of snacks one time. lol I loved it.

DeleteWe always take our mom out for lunch. She doesn't usually need anything. This way we can spend time together.
ReplyDeleteI like the idea Heather has of taking her mom to a park. Oh my goodness my mom is a freak about the weather. If it's the slightest bit hot it's too hot for her, and if it's the slightest bit cold it's too cold for her. I hate it. We can't do anything outside. It's so annoying.
The restaurants get so packed here, we avoid them. A picnic sounds more up to our speed. That's too bad your mom isn't outdoorsy. I bet you and the boys could throw a real lovely picnic in one of your lovely parks for her if she were.

ReplyDeleteLast year my guys gave me a "coupon" to go "get my hair did" at my favorite salon. I rarely go because of the cost and the distance (it's a bit out of town), and finally in late February I got it done! Special treat.
ReplyDeleteA bottle of expensive perfume would thrill me to pieces.
