Either you're a morning person or you aren't. I don't think there's an in between. As for me, I loathe mornings. I need a lot of motivation to drag myself from my warm bed to get my day started. Since I drive my daughter to school, I really don't have the option to stay snuggled under the covers, but there are a few things I do to get my day started off on the right foot.
1. Stretch. Before I even roll out of bed, I do deep stretching for several minutes to get the blood flowing through my body. Flex your feet and toes, fingers and hands too. I'll even prop my feet up on my knees and give myself a little foot rub as an early morning treat.
2. Routine. If you get into the habit of following a specific routine each morning, it tends to run a lot smoother. I always start my day off with a hot cup of tea in my hand and take 15 minutes to catch up on the news. Coupled with my earlier stretching, both my body and mind are now ready to forge ahead with the daily activity list.
3. Breakfast. We've all heard it before; Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. I used to be guilty of skipping it altogether, or I'd grab something that was considered quick but wasn't very healthy, like a carb filled pastry or sugar filled bowl of cereal. I have gotten a lot better with my breakfast choices though, even though it means spending a tad bit more time standing over the stove preparing a nutritious hot breakfast for myself and my family.
Just like I don't love to crawl out of bed early, I don't love cooking early either. I mean I will do it, but that doesn't mean that I like to. Thankfully, for the days that I'm just not down to slave over the stove, Jimmy Dean Simple Scrambles® breakfast cups are stocked in my fridge ready to come save the day.
If you crave a delicious, protein-rich breakfast but don't have the time or desire to whip one up with your busy morning schedule, Jimmy Dean Simple Scrambles is your perfect breakfast solution. You can find a variety of flavors of Jimmy Dean Simple Scrambles at your local Walmart Store. My favorite is the Three Cheese, filled with 18g of protein and scrumptious cheddar, Swiss, and Monterrey Jack cheese.
My husband is all about the meat varieties. With the Bacon Simple Scrambles he can start his day off with 23g of protein, two real eggs, cheese and bacon. Another favorite is the turkey sausage variety with 17g of protein, egg whites, and delicious cheddar cheese.
You can also find Meat Lovers and regular Sausage varieties in addition to the already mentioned flavors right in the refrigerated section, located next to the bacon, at Walmart.
I know we're all busy these days, so you can even use the Walmart online grocery pick-up option for a fast and convenient way to purchase Jimmy Dean Simple Scrambles.

Which variety of Jimmy Dean Simple Scrambles would you like to try first?
The one with the English muffin look nom! Never even thought somebody would make microwave scrambled eggs LOL
ReplyDeleteThree Cheese would probably be my fave too, love your Rise n Shine cup too!
How long will you sleep when Ally learns to drive?
I'm currently soaking that cup since Allison decided to let the dregs of hot chocolate dry to the bottom of it. It's not like she doesn't have 50 of her own cups laying around here, but she keeps taking mine (angry face emoji)
DeleteAllison will be able to drive I think next January. She can drive with an adult this summer if she takes drivers ed though. I used to have to get up at 6:00, but they changed high school time to later this year, so we don't have to get up until 7:30 or 8:00. That's what my body is programmed to wake up around, so I'm sure I'll still be getting up then when she drives herself to school. I'm debating on looking for an outside the house job around then, so maybe it will be even earlier then.
I've just bought a new one for me last week, it is about 3dcl, short but plump, baby blue porcelain, extremely cute. I'd send you two with a matching plate, because I know you'd fall in love with them, but sadly they're too heavy to post :(
DeleteWhat kind of job will we be looking for, deary? Is Ally getting a car? I can't imagine you will let her drive yours lol I don't remember Mariah had a car?
Take a pic for me so I can see this cuteness you speak of! Nothing beats cute little teacups and saucers. I am addicted to snapping them up when they are on sale here and am running out of cabinet space for them all lol
DeleteMariah took Jason's old car last summer and he bought himself a new one. He'll give that new on to her for her college graduation gift, and at that point Allison will take ownership of Mariah's old car when she gets her license. Jason will buy himself a new car once again after all the hand-me-down cars are in order.
It is easy to get up when you have cats pacing the bed for you to feed them. They want their routine as much as people need one sometimes.
ReplyDeleteThey sound just as demanding as toddlers. My dogs have this thing about waking us up at 2am to pee, so I totally get the demands of pets.
DeleteMy wife would like those.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure Daisy would love them!
DeleteMy daughter likes Jimmy Dean's breakfast solutions. She's all about quick and tasty.
ReplyDeleteQuick and tasty is the name of the game around here too!
DeleteI really like Jimmy Dean sausage but haven't tried these yet.
ReplyDeleteI used to love their sausage before I went vegetarian. I still buy it every now and again for my husband to put into soups though.
DeleteI never even knew these existed, Theresa! I really like egg muffins when I'm traveling, so this would be an easy way to have one at home. I am such a lark! I am a morning person in capital letters. And I so love my coffee and morning news update. I've tried stretching in bed a few times, but usually when I wake up, I jump right out of bed. I grew up in a household of non-morning people, and I never knew I was a lark until I was on my own. I hope that you are having a good weekend!
ReplyDeleteYou morning people are such a mystery to me. My husband can hop right out of bed and get going too. I have to mentally prepare myself and give myself a pep talk just to get my feet on the ground lol. Hope you had a great weekend!
DeleteI am a morning person but I can never say no to delicious morning booster like this! My kids and I love eggs so much :)
ReplyDeleteWhen you come back to the States, be sure to pick some up, Indah. I think you'd like them very much!
DeleteBacon for sure! They all look yummy though! I like eggs sandwiches so much. The only non egg person in our house is Mica, but I make him eat them anyhow. Protein is needed!
