One of my favorite things about summer is being able to fire up the grill and get dinner done without ever having to turn on my stove. I try to leave my stove and oven off as much as possible during the hot months, so having the option to toss some meat and veggies on the grill and call it a day is what I'm all about right now. Chicken has been on sale regularly, and thankfully it's something that everyone can agree on here. I'll usually just marinade it in a bottle of Italian dressing because that's how the fam likes it, but I saw this Grilled Chicken with Apple Honey Barbecue Sauce on Golden Blossom Honey and decided to try something new this week.
We went to a graduation party earlier this month and the chicken was the star of the show (besides the grad, of course). I overheard the cook telling someone that he used apple cider vinegar in his marinade, so when I saw that this recipe also called for apple cider vinegar, I knew I had to give it a try. End result? Delicious! The hubs and girls didn't leave a scrap behind, so we definitely have a new recipe to add into the mix. See those buttered almond green beans on the plate? Another new recipe that was an instant hit at dinner. But you'll have to come back next week to learn more about that. Remember, we're off on vacay for the next 2 weeks, but we still have our weekly Golden Blossom Honey post going up next Friday, so don't forget so swing back around to grab it!

What's going on your grill this week?
that's such a beautiful and appetising glaze! I don't grill much but I've been thinking of camping and cooking more outdoors.. hehe
ReplyDeleteAi @ Sakura Haruka
Do you not cook all those fish that you catch outdoors?
DeleteDon't forget to turn off comment moderation while you is away, deary, otherwise it will be just wind blowing through empty halls here :)
ReplyDeleteI’ll still moderate since I bet a billion spam comments a day, but I’ll try to be more vigilant in getting the legit ones approved quickly while we’re gone. I can still do that through my phone :)
DeleteWe do hate spam! I've just visited a blog of one of our blogging friends who went on a maternity leave more than a year ago, so I dropped over to see if she is still around and noticed she has about 90 comments on her last post (from May 2018) out of which 70 are from some hoe who spammed her with irritating links in the comments. I've noticed spammers at my place will often target just a few posts at my place for years, so I turned off comments at those stories fully :)
DeleteI have a few that I've been hit with real bad too that I've had to shut comments completely off for too. I'm starting to get them on the new posts as well when it used to just be the older ones. It's so irritating!
DeleteI don't think we'll grill this week, but this does look wonderful. I think this recipe would work on pork as well.

My DIL and granddaughter only eat chicken or fish. I remember my baby grand cried the first time I took her to McDonald's (she had never seen a hamburger and wasn't going to touch one either). We have not returned for meals. ;) She'd love this, and lucky for me, she just happens to be here all week!
