I know that tomorrow is all about the sweet treats, but I thought I'd try to offset all of that sugary goodness with some fresh veggies this week. Now, my kids have always loved raw vegetables so I never had to really entice them to eat their veggies. I do know some kids who have to have a dip to get them anywhere their mouths though, and to that I say bring on the dip! Ranch is a popular choice here, but sometimes you need to break out of the ranch rut and try something new. I've always been a fan of honey mustard myself, so I thought this week I would share the easiest and tastiest Honey Mustard Dip for Vegetables recipe from Golden Blossom Honey.
You're going to love that this dip has only 2 ingredients, making it a snap to toss together without any fuss. With the holidays coming up, you're going to want to add this dip to the menu. I know we are all on different levels of how we're dealing with the gathering of loved ones for the holidays, and whatever your family decides is best for gatherings, I'm not here to judge. However, we do want to be a little more careful with shared dishes, such as dips, to prevent contamination and the dreaded "double dip". I suggest grabbing some small dipping cups (mine came for Christmas Tree Shops for around 80¢ each), and prefilling them with this honey mustard dip and veggies so your guests can just grab and go.
Another thing that's great about this dip is how versatile it is. You don't HAVE to use it just for vegetables. It pairs really well with chicken nuggets, shrimp, steak, and even fries. Whatever you normally use honey mustard on, replace it with this recipe for an added kick of yum.

Do you eat your vegetables raw or with a dip?
You know I'd eat anything with mayo :) When is Trick or Treat, tomorrow or Sunday? Will you be on candy duty?
ReplyDeleteIt's awesome to find any way at all to get the kids to eat veggies. My youngest is NOT a fan of veggies, it's like pulling teeth to get him to try and eat them. I agree, bring on the dip! Whatever works... Happy Halloween!
ReplyDeletePero que bueno :-))))
ReplyDeleteThat sounds good. I just made some homemade ranch dip for raw vegetables.
ReplyDeletei prefer my veggies roasted to a crisp, but I’m weird!
ReplyDeleteYou had me sold at "two ingredients". LOL My favorite vegetable to eat raw is peppers.
ReplyDeletemayo is one of my favorite dips...
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend
2 ingredients. haha I bet even I can do it. Yeah, the munchkins here won't, usually, just eat them raw. Have to have dip.
ReplyDeleteI was getting dips at Fresh Thyme. Isaak likes hummus. Other dips are good too. I usually only get dips out when we have board dinners - veggies, fruit, cheese, crackers, and popcorn.
ReplyDeleteHoney and mustard is the best combo, yum!
ReplyDeleteYum
